Link 16 things you want in the next update

Just a thought: Put yourselves on the shoes of Boxer, Dunc, MavJp, Raptor, Cruz, D-Jay, Radium, I-Hawk, Falcas, and many other I don´t know, just for a few seconds. Imagine you have put hundreds of hours on coding and testing to develop what you guys have in your HD right now. Then come to this forum and read a thread, 4 days after the release, of people “wanting” more. Are you serious?
You probably don´t have a lot fo experience developing a serious software of the magnitude of Falcon, so it is difficult to judge the ammount of work, know how, and time ans stress(!) to make such a software the way it is. What these guys achieved in this last version cannot be described in few words….I am still speechless!..Falcon 4 BMS is >>still<<, after 20 years, the top dog in hardcore simulation. And just because these guys put their free time to make it possible!
Perhaps you guys can wait 3-4 weeks to start asking for new things…I am out, back to the virtual skies!

…que?

Well … it is the way it works we know it. Human nature.
“Give him an inch and he’ll take a mile” …
-
I bet you disdain Christmas as crass commercialism too, and shoot at the kids on Halloween?
It’s a tradition, tbuc…
-
“Give him an inch and he’ll take a mile”
in chinese idioms means “reach out for a yard after taking an inch” HAHAHAHA
GOOD metaphor!
-
In my region it means “Stretch out the pinky and half of your torso is gone!”

Link 16 would always be limited without a real GCI/AWACS controller interface. (preferably with ESM support)
So Controllers can do assignments, CAP point sends, area geometry sends( SAMs, faors…), Identifications and many other capabilities…
Since falcon is about realism any air mission in RL can not be done without C2 and C4ISR this huge gap needs to be closed. -
It would be cool in mutli-player, with one player acting strictly as AWACS…

i think for a living, people pay me to do it for them. I had a think.
Destroy your competition and you give billionsoft a possible reentry to the very poorly saturated represented market and have unlimited good PR and street cred, what is priceless, zero hour day one.
create a modern, stand alone, dedicated, supported by the community overhauled and modernized online mode, complete with matchmaking. put your feet up, collect.
I don’t know the legal structure of the IP, but I’ve found in my 40 years of working everyone has two minutes available for you to explain to them how you’re going to make them a fortune.
But I like money.

With all those AI improvements of 4.34 flying with them on the wing is great. I’d love to have the possibility to tell the wingman/element to “Anchor here”. Making them orbit at the current altitude around the current position.
What do you guys think? -

What do you guys think?More so than that, i would like to be able to tell other package flights to anchor at a certain place, for instance to allow sead escorts to clear the target area of sam’s before allowing the strikes to proceed, etc

You can’t do that with AI in the air, but you can plan holding points during the planning phase of the mission by adding hold points.

I think the request is real time management. I have to say it’s something I regularly think about when I’m in a solo session. It would extend the human role more than ever to Package Leader role.

How about a missile warning system (MAW) for the next update? Heaters can be launched beyond visual range so this would be a nice addition.
Thank you!

I wouldn’t mind seeing this on F-16 variants that actually have them in RL…

I was aware of the “Holding Points” but this just gave me an idea. What if we had a second type of “holding” waypoint action which makes the AI only pass the holding point as soon as they are cleared by a human package commander via radio-call?

Nope. Concept should be different and allow a Mission Commander comm’s menu with the entire “combo” (Rolex, Retrograde, Abort … etc …)

Hehe … there are maybe some other things to fine tunes/fix before considering anything like this. I am sure you agree.;)

The simple fact it is just a dream for us and painful as a chore for you, means already so much no worries, if it ever comes for 4.36 I’ll be happy, otherwise I expect humans to behave like humans, and AI to behave like AI (good ones now :P), not friends I connect to.
