Balance of UHF/VHF into each ear

As said by Eagle. Only with AI not IVC unfortunately.

Hi everyone.
Thanks for the heads up. Thats sad as thats a real good capability not available
Hopefully one of the devs will pick it up and look into it, although I assume if they have gone to the effort of making it happen for the Ai but not for human pilots its probably not possible as having the option for Ai only seems rather pointless given that I would assume most of us are flying with humans.

If you want to differenciate VHF from UHF on IVC , you might always consider lowring one of the two volumes
then you can differenciate by the volume rather than the balance -

The initial need for why this was coded is explained further in the Technical Manual, and had to do with AI using the same voice sometimes, both on UHF and VHF, which made it hard to know over which radio the comms came in. For the exact reason, go to 13.8 pr .9. Canβt remember which one it was exactly, but if you search for fRadioBalance, Iβm sure youβll find it.
That said, it would be nice if IVC added the feature, especially as it is now a RL feature for certain nations, such as Denmark and Belgium that have 3D comms and / or audio (RWR warnings, I believe)
ACRE can split different radios to different ears for ArmA 3 (even does direct talk in 3D, and volume is based on distance) so I assume it should be technically possible for IVC as well, considering they both use Teamspeak as a base. -

bummer, and here I thought mine was setup like this. I guess I never paid that much attention to IVC comms regarding this setting.

Did anyone try this feature even with AI only? and does it work with 4.35 ?
I put β-100.0β to have VHF on the right and UHF on the left, but nothing different than β0.0β -

I put β-100.0β to have VHF on the right and UHF on the left, but nothing different than β0.0βworks here very good
set g_fRadioBalance 20.0

Thanks Dema
well, maybe I should see my windows settings.Edit : After desactivating the spatial sound feature in the Headphones Properties tab (Windows Sonic For Headphones), everything works good now.

FWIW, this setting doesnβt affect IVC because voice sounds in IVC are handled inside the IVC client app. In that case the sound processing path is completely separate from the game sounds The setting applies to sound that is generated by the game β i.e. AI radio calls.

I put β-100.0β to have VHF on the right and UHF on the left, but nothing different than β0.0βset g_fRadioBalance 40 //Def: 0.0 // The value in DB on how much to shift the UHF/VHF playback volume out of center (into opposite directions), range +/-100.0
This works really well for me. AWACS & ATC in my right ear, intra-flight in my left ear.
