Santa's wishlist for BMS

First we’d need GPS jamminmg in the sim
If we’re having really modern warfare modeled, we’d need missile strikes enabled again followed by munitions like cruise/ballistic and regular A/G missiles being targetable by air defence units and fighters, including human controlled ones, then campaign engine knowing how to handle it reasonably. And lots of drones of various kind. -

@Dee-Jay
I have recently bought JetPad and SimShaker Wings for support of Falcon BMS. Tell me please, if you fly straight at 1G… do you feel with your butt anything or everything is smooth as butter? Can you feel vibrations from the engine? Or when gear is extended or raised or locked?Depends on aircraft.
Engine … yes, a little.
Landing gear … F-16, I don’t know. On C-160, yes, clearly a lot the nose wheel door.
On Alpha Jet/M2000 … no … not the landing gear itself. But the relative wind being turbulent.EDIT:
Here is my SimShaker settings:

@Dee-Jay
Thank you! I will try your settings -
@sunrrrise Results may be very different from mine depending on your cushion.

@Dee-Jay nice setup!
-
@Dee-Jay That’s so cool! Almost wife friendly
-
@Dee-Jay I love the wooden context and lighting.

That’s the late 1990s aesthetic of the A+B cockpit, it can be easily disassembled too, maybe making it wife friendly:

In almost every aspect of this software, the enhancements and additions have been amazing.
But the enhancement of one aspect in particular was most unexpected and most welcome: Airbase/ATC activities during takeoff and landing scenarios.
I hope that this aspect of the sim continues to add, improve, and enhance airbase-related features. That’s my wish.

Add ILS DME capability
According to the documentation, BMS does not feature ILS DME so in TCN / ILS (PLS) mode the DME is from the TACAN.
Reference: bms-comms-nav-book.pdf page 64. TCN/ILS (PLS) MODE.

Native Point CTRL support in VR would be amazing.
-
@SOBO-87 Amen brother! It’s going to take either mouse support that takes input style that touchscreens/tablets use or VR controller support for @fredemmott’s HTCC custom firmware it seems…
-
- Danish F-16’s with correct engine data. No longer the PW200, but the PW220.
- More steerpoint lines available, no less than 10 lines
-
A minor QoL improvement - if possible, maybe it would be useful to expand the multiplayer connection box so that it can use a host name instead of IP address only - no need to share the IP any longer.

Can we see the USAF Block 40/50 series with the POIBT upgrades?

What???!!! I thought EVERYBODY knows what POIBT is!!!
Okay, being more accurate: Apparently, @Jumpstart5179 thought everybody knew what POIBT is…

@Jumpstart5179 as stated a lot in this now massive thread, BMS will not implement things by guessing, they require documentation that is obviously unclassified. A lot of POBIT, like the APG-83’s capabilities and MFD implementation symbology, is probably not publicly documented yet.

And lots of drones of various kind.I mean, we very clearly do not have modern warfare modeled, yet China has the J-20 (and no F-35 at all and no F-22 in most campaigns). Honestly, I think adding the J-20 to the stock KTO campiagns was a poor choice. It’s not needed for realism (we aren’t doing modern warfare IIRC) and it really breaks the fun. Flankers with jamming are hard enough (they constantly break my lock in TTS).
I’d totally understand putting the J-20 in an extra hard campaign (I vaguely remember an earlier BMS version having an entire theater with much stonger red forces), but I don’t think it should be in the regular ones.
