So it would be a late model F14B-model.
Well, not quite https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?17143-F-14B-Model-Pit&p=247875&viewfull=1#post247875
A late F14B with the new HUD would require some more work on the front panels

Excellent work here Nizmo.
same boat man, It was on hold short for about 5 min waiting for the rain to clear at Hanscom before the shutdown. Rain never let up, taxiād right past us.
Maybe itāll be like how the P-51ās fly with the raptor and other a/c, then I think I may see the 14 flyā¦.
I got to see a fair few of them when working with a couple of US carriers prior to going into the Middle East. Even got to sit 500 yards off the port side for a couple of days just watching take-offs and landings. Had a couple come flying at us from astern and then go vertical when level with us. Just disappeared from view. Awesome. Got up close on one of the flight decks so they are just as impressive up close.
Nothing and I mean nothing is more beautiful than an F-14 in flight. This is guaranteed to raise objections / comments and this is entirely my opinion and Iām entitled to have oneā¦.:D

This is what we all have, we all have āourā aircrafts!
I love Rafale and Mitsubishi F-2 much more than everything else, and I really donāt like F-14ā¦ Others hate the Rafale and the F-2ā¦
You see, what is important there is to have something we have passion for!
As long as people have passion for something, they do their best, so, I am happy with it!

[sorry for the duplicate, didnāt see the replies up thereā¦]
The so-called combiner glass has always been the same, the reason you donāt recall seeing it on early versions is that the early ones had the AN/AVG-12 HUD use the inside of the windscreen as the projection surface and therefore didnāt have a mechanically separate āHUDā at all.
Hello,
Just my little 100 yensā¦
I never saw a F-14A/B with a twin glasses reflector for the HUDā¦
I believed, only F-14D hadā¦
Any document about it?
I would really appreciate it.
Cheers,

Dear Stingray,
Thank you so much for this answer.
I am not a specialist about the Tomcat at all.
I simply figured out that combined glass system was only integrated in the F-14D.
So, this is the reason why I mentioned this, while I knew both F-14A and B had windshield projected HUDs, I didnāt found any pictured source of the combined glass HUD on a F-14B.
Thank you for your information,
Kindly yours,
Radium

BMS! Tomcatters! Artisans! Two days ago I witnessed this magnificent 747-8 touch down in my nationās capital:
Onboard (next to a very cool Lufthansa guy with a German flag, hanging out of the cockpit even before the jet had fully touched down) was our national soccer team with a lump of solid gold.
The jet performed a low fly in at about 1,000 ft with wings waving above the āStraĆe des 17. Juniā - pretty impressive sight. After takeoff it took a few more low level fly overs over Berlin before heading out for the home port in Frankfurt.
After 10 years in the making we are the Soccer World Champion. Watching the cup without losing my job made it impossible to do anything else though. Before that I took a nice little timeout in my other home - sunny Minnesota. So now that all that is done I can get back to the important things in lifeā¦such as this project.
Expect an update, Baby

This isā¦ impressive!!!

If I can share an external link- read this page by a former RIO about his tomcat experiences and opinions. Good perspective comparing the F-15 and Super Hornet as well. http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/an-elite-f-14-airman-explains-why-the-tomcat-was-so-imp-1610043625/1610224281/+travis
