LGB issues BMS 4.34: Unable to hit targets >TE/LGB
-
I have followed the Krause TGP tutorial and many=many others several times > same issues, IR AREA L and IR POINT L do not hit targets?
‘’ Laser armed, target designated, release, the bombs track the target until about the last two seconds. For some reason they flare away from the target and miss. I’m flying level, TGP tracking target, laser not masked. Yet almost always the LGB will turn away from the target within the last two seconds ‘’
this is an old issue but its exactly what im seeing today?
My cursor also races off screen when trimming flight surfaces? or aligning target with SOI on the TGP?
where does BMS Falcon store the screenshots?
Thanks in advance guys

Here is an image of what my TGP screen looks like when turned on? Obviously Laser ARM was turned on after I set it to CMBT mode.
I fly level > line up to fall line > hold pickle button when I see the first maker fall > bomb releases on second marker > L flashes then nothing but a huge miss? -
WOW, a hit with no fall line or HUD?

The fall line and HUD just give you release cue symbology …. they don’t actually have an active role in hitting or missing the target.
I wouldn’t do it that way, but it’s not a surprise that it works.

doing it by the book and I get a miss of this magnitude

Which bomb (PII or PIII) ? When are you lasing?

Not to mention the laser code.
On the screenshot, no code shown on the MFD. Should be there. -

Obviously…. That’s my point. And the post says it’s on.

I used the default bombs that are selected in the TE > LGB. -

I used the default bombs that are selected in the TE > LGB.Ok … but I don’t know what they are. PIII is better continuously lased. PII, 10 - 30s recommended.
Check previous posts from our friend => Laser code / Laser ARM.

Just to make sure everybody is on the same page, the LGB’s may be divided into categories based on their guidance kit. In general (there are exceptions):
PII = Paveway II = GBU-1x family
PIII = Paveway III = GBU-2x family -
Ramahan, can you install OBStudio and record a ‘run’. We need to see precisely what you’re doing so we can make suggestions, otherwise we’re blinding making guesses what you may be doing wrong.

this is what the sim sets us up with by default.

Nobody said anything about the diamond shaped MFD! must be something wrong! -
will look into this today.
Nobody said anything about the diamond shaped MFD! must be something wrong! The diamond shaped TGP display better reflects what you’d see in the real world. It is absolutely fine, nothing wrong.
Here is an unedited video of the TR_BMS_11_LGB TE. I make two passes, both hit. What are you not doing?
Remember:
- Set Laser Code to 1511 (confirmed in Loadout screen before committing)
- Set Laser AG to Combat
- Set Auto to 12 seconds
- Arm Laser
-
…… Nobody said anything about the diamond shaped MFD! must be something wrong!
Think of that as seeing the edges of the ‘window’ that the ‘eye’ of the TGP is looking out of. It will move/rotate depending on where the ‘eye’ is looking. It’s basically the edge of the TGP housing that you’re looking out of.

THANKS MALC!
Funny thing was before seeing your reply> I went to the -34 and did exactly what it said which is the same thing you just pointed out!
I hit my target!
Thanks to everyone who chimed in.
