What's up with those rumors

All is normal in the mad house

I hunt for bear with an old muzzleloader. BMS reminds me of my muzzleloader.
Accurate but crappy looking.
Just the way I like it.

Someone is trying to make replica of bms too so your phrase is quite accurate in many ways.

Iām also really into racing. My chosen sim is Grand Prix Legends. Another 98 sim iāve played from the beginning like F4.
Being an old fart, I seem to like the old stuff better.
I have no complaints about BMS or GPL. Iām easy but like accuracy over flashy good looks.

Used to love GPL and 4 wheel drifts in my Lotus! Have you tried iRacing, there is no comparison to it for track accuracy and there are TONS of car sets to choose from.

I did try iRacing for a few years. It got kind of expensive.

Yep, but once you own the cars itās just the $15 (?) per month, not too bad. Iāve been away a few years but think iāll mess around with it once settled next year.

The problem was the tracks. They were always coming out with new tracks and if you didnāt buy them you were left out of running a whole season of races. Since they set the tracks used in the season they always added the new tracks. When I finally left I had $800 of content. No big deal if I was still working but iām retired and $800 kind of hurt. Hunting already drains me along with fly fishing. I find those more important than iRacing.

well for the rest there is no harm in testing those DX to Vulkan Wrappers ā¦Currently i have had good results with D9VK on the Early COD MW.2.3.4 seriesā¦doesnt work of BMS unfortunatelu it crashes
Try setting everything to 0 in control panel of your gpu and run everyhting BMS gives you and tell us the results!

The old stuff never looses its grandeur or shine. Long live the old skool.

GPL was awesome. For anyone into GPL, I can recommend rFactor 2 with some of its great historic content and mods. Running the historic F1 cars on 1960s Spa or Monaco is nothing short of terrifying. And rFactor 2 is very much like BMS - newer sims may have better eye candy but rFactor 2 has far more realistic physics, tire modeling and force feedback.
For me rF2 is the BMS of racing sims. Itās just not free

But it very nearly is (a steal at 30ā¬ or thereabouts or even less during a steam sale). You donāt have to get the paid content but itās nice if you want to support the developers, there are tons and tons of free tracks and cars out there as well. The dev team is very dedicated and passionate about their product as well, just like the BMS folks. rf2 may not be as shiny as other sims in the gfx / ui department, but Iāll take great physics, a dynamic track environment, stable MP and the best FFB there is in any driving sim out there at the moment over flashy graphics every day.
All the best,
Uwe

I agree completely
