One thing i’d like in the next update….I’d like it to be released
I already did that joke … so go back and think of another more funny joke…

First, sorry for OT.
Well, wrong section, but I got hyped for DCS/HB F14. I promissed myself no to preorder anything DCS. I promissed myself no to buy any alpha. I promissed myself not to buy another complex airplane with steep learning curve. I skipped the Hornet entirely. I know I will be back here soon. All in vain, now I will have tro try that Tomcat. So BMS team, do not hurry, take your time with release and polish it perfectly as usual. I do not demand anything as I assume you know the best what should be in the next release. -
This is unfair lol. But I completely understand your satisfaction.

After some talk about IDM on Discord, I thought about this and asked there, but it’s probably better suited here:
Though the back-end logic isn’t necessarily realistic, would it be hard to code some kind of intra-package basic LINK16 simulation by enhancing IDM?Say,
11 has 11, 12, 21, 31
21 has 21, 22, 23, 24, 11, 31
31 has 31, 32, 33, 34, 11, 21
…The logic behind it would be that each lead collects his wingman data (primarily position, but maybe also FCR tracking/engagement information) and sends that to the rest of the package flight leaders, who then distribute that information among their own wingmen. That way, you could have up to 20 aircraft (5 fourships) shown on IDM, instead of the 8 we have now. Even without IFF or a full LINK16 functionality, this would add tremendously to SA and picture building, especially in crowded airspaces like we can see in campaigns.
There are other front-end ways to get the job done, e.g. 1 adds all x1, 2 adds x2, …, but the outcome should be the same, i.e. seeing every single package member through your IDM. As the back-end logic is the same (received information is forwarded to own IDM contacts), I believe the code should be pretty similar?

IDM has IRL much more limitations than what we have now. No point in creating a fantasy datalink to emulate L16 - not much less effort than simulating L16 to begin with

Very well said, mate.
And if my advise counts a dim, that’s the point and the main objective: BMS can succeed, because it has still plenty of room in improvement.
Besides, with some up-to-date graphics, it can be kick ass time again! With best regards,

F-15E HUD properly sized, yet to see a proper F-15E hud implemented in any flight sim

It’s probably all been asked before… if so… it’s a bump!
I have a couple of small DOFs/Switches wishes. I think it will improve the opportunities for dev’s quite nicely.
1. Day/night switch. So the human can switch for example between NVG’s and normal visor (external model). And remember, pit dof/switches don’t work with external models.
2. JFS doors DOF for the F-16.
3. Switchable front gear lights (up/down depending on taxi/landing). My LV4’s will use the anti-collision lights from the Harrier/Hornet to switch between the states (human’s player only).
4. Working DOF’s (more than one) for bomb- & missile bay doors that human’s can open and close with keyboard keys. Quite a lot of planes and bombers have them (B-1/52/2, Russian bombers, J-20/31 etc.). I believe I have read about those dof numbers in LE txt’s but I haven’t seen any keys to operate them in BMS .33 -
… pushed on Dev forum

My (former) friends forgiving me for being such a retard douchebag…
Sorry for the off-topic, sometime I miss you guys

Not “former” buddy. Still waiting for an appointment on TSC6

Iff I could have one thing in the next JanHas release, it would be a license which allows me to use Jan’s models outside of magazines.

I don’t think you are talking in BMS name. Anyway, how could I expect anyone to forgive me if I can’t even forgive myself…

What would be really nice would be to have more 3d models. Some of the names under LOD editor has no lods attached to them like J-22 and JSF. Do this mean that they have no 3d models attached? If so I believe now that since we know how they looked like, it should not be difficult to model them right?
-
you are actually welcome to model them and send them to the team for inclusion! In fact there is a few threads stickied I believe where the devs have asked for folks to do exactly that.
Seeing as its not so difficult, I look forward to seeing your contribution

Could set g_bLocalEnvironmentalDate be host enforced?
As it is right now, when flying around dawn / dusk, if I have a different setting than my wingman, I could be flying in the dark, while he’s flying in full daylight.
Would be nice to have some more information on what “local” is used to determine the times when this config entry is activated. Is it based on in-game aircraft coordinates, player physical location or time zone, a predefined list somewhere in the backend, does the selected season have an impact, …? A quick test in KTO and Balkans didn’t seem to tell me much in that regard.

Improve the SA from UI map :
- especially indicate if the enemy battalions were in movement
- providing the reconnaissance view for mobil units in precising when & where the “photo” has been taken

That is interesting, enable successful RECCE missions to actually provide information in the map for real time or specific time ahead…
JH DB-110 RECCE pod:
Moreover, using a recently published DCS Tomcat shot, the implementation of TALD autonomus missiles would be extremely interesting too…
