Seat down/up..

Good morning, Gentlemen.
I’m not positively willing to start, nor continue, a fire, here.
But ‘who’ cares of DCS?
Really, let’s keep just on our own way straight ahead, quietly reaching our goals from time to time.
This is enough for us, and our own way at the same time, I see.
And that’s all.With best regards.

A lot of us, just love flight sims, no matter what the flavour. I for example get my VR fix from DCS, my war simulation from BMS, and my civilian pilot fix from Xplane etc. I couldn’t agree with RD more, lets welcome guys who have played DCS and are now looking at BMS, it can only be good for BMS and who knows maybe BMS can benefit from features implemented in DCS and visa versa.
We all win.

We care of F-16.
Therefore, if there is something DCS has about F-16 but BMS doesn’t, no wonder we care that too.
Of Cource BMS dev has limited resources, thus there is a priority.
EDIT:

Agree, but not only that. More new people interested in BMS does not only mean more new virtual pilots, but also possibly more new developers. Not now, that’s for sure, but in the future? Who knows.
I still believe that last Falcon/BMS developer has not been born yet

Well, considering YOU have greatly increased the “user-friendliness” of getting into BMS with your Alternative Launcher, you are playing a big part in introducing it to new folks… THANK YOU Chihirobelmo!

Other biggest demand for BMS from DCS users should be VR and Chuck Owl’s BMS Guide.

A forum that shows attachments?
Couldn’t agree more, dear Lorik.
But in this while, would you chihirobelmo kindly repost your last, but with your attachment ‘correctly’ embedded this time so it’s shown as a real picture?
Thanks in advance to you, with best regards to all.

I’ve edited the post with attachments

Agree.
If:
- we can solve the current issues with VR - please see the results in that poper discussion in this sub-forum or the technical one, can’t recall here;
- if he didn’t already got an exclusive agreement with DCS dev. team. You know well how those guys, and one in particular, are. Especially against BMS.
With best regards.

Still as “Early Access” as DCS:F-16 is but if Chuck Owl is not a big fan of BMS my answer is this…

Yes, his guides to DCS and IL2 are very well done and equally well received… would love to see a BMS Guide from him but I think the required depth of it may be a bit daunting to proceed… VR, I say improve all the GFX 1st, then worry about it (as a non-VR guy until much better resolution is generally available)

Why? Come on RD … read again.
Saying “DCS has it … Loosers” is not the best way to ask for something. At least it is the way I understand it.
Why get so defensive? I didn’t read this in Stevie’s post at all, I don’t think it was meant this way. Like RD said, you have also complimented certain aspects of DCS in the past. What Stevie did is no different IMO. Maybe you read a little bit too much into his post?
Way back in the DCS thread it was posted that DCS is no threat for BMS and that you guys will continue to develop and are not depending on sales. This is true, but at the same time I see quite a few people get very defensive when DCS is brought up. There is no need for it. Now is a chance to bring in new players, especially considering the state DCS F-16 appears to be in. It cannot measure up to BMS for a long time I would think….if ever. Over on Simhq I read that the attitude on this forum is a reason for people to stay away from BMS. And with these type of posts I can see where they are coming from. So I think Red Dog makes a good point with his post.

So may I suggest go on DCS Stevie. Your post is not any motivation to work hard for ppl sayng thing like you do above.
If you want it, learne C++ , create incredible tools, join the team … and do it yourselve.if I remember corectly, we owe you nothing. DCS is better, sit adjustement if THE thing? Well, go on DCS.
EDIT: I was used to set the seat lower for formation flight because of arm postion (to have more precision in my hand’s motions) but it was a deviance and is not standard. Maybe you friends & AAR was for the same reason(?)
…like I “asked” for anything…I was just pointing out a feature and a RW reason for it. And that on matter how much we like something that there are ALWAYS alternatives and room for improvements. Crap - lighten up…

Fine, of course.
But without ever forgetting how good we already have at home in this regard … you know what I mean, and therefore thanks to who did them (Red Dog).
Otherwise, this matter could start to sound a little strange, right?
With best regards.

I know how BMS is well documented already and Red Dog did a great great job. I translated one of the manuals a few years ago and I couldn’t imagine how one can write all those manuals from scratch. We can’t give him too much thanks for his effort.
At the same time, looking at other sim forums like Hoggit, I also found there is a demand for this kind of one simple quick-start manual that describes very essential guides. If you purchase a cellphone or camera you will have both a thin quick start manual and thick detailed manual. Yes, having an encyclopedia is great, but we also need a single instruction paper to assemble and turn on our new gear.

Who could provide the sound of the electric motor of the seat mechanism? (MP3, OGG, WAV, YouTube … etc …)
