I would like to see (or hear) some indication that a campaign is over- win, lose or draw, besides just the clock stopping. Some sort of Thanks for your service at least.

that would be great.

I think there should be increased visibility by the enemy if we turn cockpit lights on.
-
…actually, it should be decreased visibility of the enemy if cockpit lights are up, because the attendant canopy glare should interfere. Especially at night.

I wonder if it’s already the case maybe, there’s a little chance it was implemented. I wouldn’t be surprised.

…aahhh…BY the enemy…I haven’t noted, but is this also the case if your NAV/Form lights are on vice off? And/or your radar?

Please remove all trees close to the runway approach ends. Nearly every KTO airbase has trees way to close to the approach path.

Which one exactly (airport / QFU) ?

I think he means if player has lights on, enemy can see you better.

Which I’ve been trying to find documentation on but thought that was thing even maybe back to the Realism Patches. Killing the lights at fence in was stressed because it effected your visibility multipler to AI or something like that.

Yes…that’s what I finally noodled.

I’d like the required port number to be changeable in the next update.
I want to open a public 24/7 and closed a training server for my squadron at the same time. -
Hm, I think this should be possible if you can assign more than one public IP to your server. Using the separate public IPs instead of 0.0.0.0 when starting the host should work if BMS binds to them correctly.
If you have issues running two BMS instances on a single server, you could try hosting on Linux and using 2 separate VMs for hosting on a single machine, OR use some kind of Linux proxy (xinetd & friends) to forward the traffic on the public IPs / Ports to the BMS instances in the local network.
I agree though it would be easier to handle if the ports were configurable in Falcon BMS.cfg for example. (this also would require the IVC ports to be configurable per server instance I think).
All the best,
Uwe

Hi All,
When i am close to the runway and see other fly taking off, i can’t heard their engine sound. I think it could be more real to heard something (i guess a pilot heard other engine sound…but i am not sure because i am not a pilot ).
Thanks, Ciao

You can improve external sounds in setup sound section
Cheers

You’d actually be very surprised how quiet it is inside a jet fighter with the canopy closed…I know I was. A striking thing you’ll notice about a RL fighter Trainer should you ever get to fly one is just how few (if any) exterior sounds are modeled into the simulation.
So I tend to fly BMS with most exterior sounds (especially battlefield sounds) turned completely off, and own-ship exterior sounds turned down a goodly amount.

Hi all,
I’ve been flying in BMS now for a few month’s and having great fun :D, Thanks for all the love you guy’s put in the sim.
I’m still far from ready to start a campaign as I’m still going through the training TE’s little by little and understanding the avionics of the Viper, I play using my keyboard, a PS4 controller and I’m using the mouse wheel as throttle (way better than using controller buttons). Unfortunately I won’t have condition to buy a stick and throttle anytime soon.
But one thing is kind of annoying me…(doesn’t make BMS unplayable at all, is just annoying for me at least) the mouse wheel axis is inverted (when I push forward it decreases throttle and pushing backwards increases it) so sometimes when I’m paying attention to other tasks in the cockpit, I tend to input the wrong roll in the mouse wheel, would like you dev’s if possible in a future release to enable an option to reverse the axis of the throttle in the advanced settings like the other axis have.
Best regards.

Yes and no.
Depends a lot if pilot wears ear plug or use ANR (Active Noise Reduction) helmet or both.
What you hear the most is the air flow of the ECS system blowing air in the cockpit and wind flow on the canopy, also a bit of your own engine but not that much. The best example of what I was used to hear on jets (from pilot perspective) are those videos:
Those are realistic experiences.
Forget Hollywoodian effects that some people calls “immersion”. It is immersive only for ppl who never flew on fighter jets.
