Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…

Bring back the RWR threat warning sounds from 4.32 along with it’s reliability and sensitivity.
I don’t know if I should laugh or cry…
-
Coco found what he has to do : Just revert to 4.32 and be the happiest in the world : http://falcon-online.org/forum/index.php?topic=2462.msg28395#msg28395
Enjoy! Whatever what we play with … most important is to take pleasure.
Do not hope for any reversion of RWR in future versions as we are not working to make this sim less accurate … “Easy Avionic” is still available in FF, AF, OF, Falcon4.0 … there are a lot of different versions that you can enjoy depending on your personal flavours.
For sure, future versions of BMS will not please everybody.
(I do even not understand why I post here! ?!? :D)
-
okay, now that you have said it anyway !!
Would you update the HTS then?Don’t show me the door, I know where it is

Not a working one. No.
We left it (intentionally) by the wayside many eons ago.
-
throwing my hat into the ring for “more effective flares against low-tech missiles”
c’mon there DJ, pretty please?

Thank you for info Ara.
We understand why you made that choice. It is already difficult, lonf and paifull to debug the “realistic” branch …
@Red:
Would you update the HTS then?
I would be really happy, but is another area. It requires a total rework.
Currently the HTS is nothing but a super RWR and is almost nothing real.
Maybe one day (?) I would be reeeeealy happy to work again with Ataribaby … But Coco and Co. will be deeeeeeply disappointed by the loss of functionalities of this device.
Note also that we won’t implement the PT mode of the HTS because of classification issues. Once better implemented, “only” the SAM PPTs will be displayed on the HAD page and it will not show when radar is changing modes … In other words, HAD will be a bit different than HSD page, more handy but more or less similar to HAS page. No more magic spot, no more magic precision targeting! -

I’m no avionics expert at all, but I just refuse to believe anything could make weapon deplyment so simple. Would love to see a realistic implementation.

A nice working AWACS Tool with a simple option to switch frequencys and working Friend/Foe decleareation

Maybe a better cooperation with monsters tool , like a server to AWACS tool connection and maybe some code bubbles to pass through more data that the AWACS tool needs to operate perfectly.

I think a dedicated shared memory when in 2d will work for external developers to build a AWACS/ATC tool
-
Wel 2d uses aggregate structure , so this will be a no go.
What is needed is core code connection from 3d with special triggers and maybe specific bubble creation so that data from de aggregated units can be passed to the AWACS software.
Or from clients sensors to the AWACS software. -
This is a small but should be much more possible idea than others: You know how non-windowed BMS stretches its 1024x768 or 1280x1024 or whatever fixed resolution to fullscreen? I wish it was possible to do this stretching to a custom resolution when in windowed mode.

Correct the spelling mistake in debrief.txt to Country and not Contry.
-
2 idea’s/request
1:
Function to check in at an radar station after t/o and the handover from tower, an new command must be made then e.g.
A = the local radar station
A1 = flight check in with Alt. and heading
A2 = handover to other radar station when flying out of boundery…
A3 = request switching to airbase tower2:
Weather depends approach choose for AI flights
Nice weather > ability for AI flights to make an initial flight pattern with break, downwind and landing…
crap weather > straight ins (single or holding hands)grtzzz

I guess that would be the perfect bug to hopefully squash for a new, aspiring BMS dev.
On-topic, it’d be great to see the debrief.txt after a training mission in a TE too (it gets written anyhow, just not displayed post-mission).
All the best, Uwe

Btw, you can get debriefing in a TE too. You just need to have Victory Conditions set for the TE.

A simple version of this wouldn’t be too hard to do; in fact it’s something I’ve thought about messing around with now. You could pretend airbases en route are weather stations. You could just contact them on their tower freqs and request wind and QNH/QFE updates. So take off from Kunsan with their QNH, then when you overfly Osan, you could contact them and get their weather info etc.

It would nice (for me, at least) an easier GUI for the choice of aircrafts and skins, similar to FSX/P3D, I mean…

A request for a simple fix: it would be nice if the U95 jammer of the JA37 would transfer to the correct hardpoint. See picture. Now it is wrongly situated at the center pylon where it has to compete with the extra tank.
(the picture in my sig is an early test version when the JA37 wasn’t part of the stock BMS install. It shows the correct configuration though)
