Trying to fine its exact location on Google Earth, do you have any coordinates? … or location?
Here it is:
Also, it is surrounded by terrain.

Always the same “story” … :???:
Many “non BMS dev” perfectly knows how to make proper 3D model and campaign and … etc …
Why should be the BMS Dev organizing everything knowing that we already are 150% working. No time to take ppl by hands (especially when we invest time and effort on ppl that do not continue after … I do not count the amount of PM with peoples to coordinate and no more feedback from them after) …
Up to you guys to organize yourselves like we did with the “BMS team group” … and then we put everything in common.
If you use the forum (a thread) as communication/dev platform, we can easily monitor and give some advice from time to time when it is needed.
But note that even when some of us dare to try to give some advice/info, we are told than ppl do not need help nor advice nor info … so … I stop.BMS team members can harmonize, give the specs, and some advices and in some ways a limited coordination … but it is not our task to organize 3rd party developments.
It is “yours”.
Hey Dee-Jay, keep the advices coming! I think eventually people will use them for the better, ignore the noise around.
For post topic - I want some good lights and surface lightining interaction with 3D modules, and of course - some better camera control for video makers (DCS doing it amazingly, i think we should learn from them at this part).
Also - making the ACMI section more alive - with sound enabled, Full resolution window, and more flexable camera positioningCheers

But “Director’s cut”, “airshows” and “solo display” are not the main goal for BMS. So while it would be nice to have, to not hold your breath on it.
Maybe we have to learn, from DCS about this, we certainly prefer improving ATC, AWACS, AIs and stuff like this … Since we can’t make everything, we have to choose our priorities. -
The ability to order an AI wingman to preventively fire an AGM-88 at a steerpoint instead of an emitting radar would make some SEAD missions a lot easier.

Beautiful shots and footage are just lucky opportunities in the way I see that; I try to capture or render all the hidden things that makes a flight worth it. Usually the ones you mentioned as priorities.

Better airbase textures (not the good ones already like osan, kusan), mainly at night, lighting and lights in general. Please, guys, BMS lighting is AWFUL!!! We need an update on this!! A realistic nightvision goggles and A NEW COCKPIT (not that the current isn’t cool, but it needs something to make it more immersive). The possibility of changing your view position in cockpit just like xplane and save it.

What is the issue with position. It is exactly the right one to get it harmonized with HUD!

I was editing videos of Falcon in the past, and im must disagree, its way harder in falcon to capture the moment or create good angels of shooting. i need special preperations for that and planing way deeper, then just go taping something randomly and getting excellent results anyway.
I believe falcon is way beyond one purpose sim, and be able to show others the best of it’s capabilities is basic (its really not about advertisment or those kind of stuff). Im not a coder, if i could create somthing like that, it would probably be the first thing ill do - maybe in the future.

Misunderstood my point. Capture graphic moments and good angles of shooting = not my interest.

Rotated about 10 degrees downwards, so the default view has the MFDs visible is a relatively common recurring request.

I wish this was a default view.
-
Please not!
You always can set that via TIR or any other headtracker to be the default position. But thats not the view, pilots use the most of the time, they look outside not inside. -
Well making videos is nice and having nice replay or if we could use acmi to record at what angle we like and look exactly as when we flew the mission but…
Let’s not go to the put the finger on the wound to believe or be amazed or compare.
Its just there as real as it gets, u don’t believe it, u loose.
Coders is way better to spend their coding time to evolve or implement new features that are core to the sim. Going fancy will draw back other thinks… rings a bell?
Sure we like the looks and sure they play around with those as they already have proven in many aspects.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T818A using Tapatalk

You always can set that via TIR or any other headtracker to be the default position. But thats not the view, pilots use the most of the time, they look outside not inside.Real pilots have more peripheral vision, and they can glance down with their eyes to look into their cockpit (MFDs, instruments, …) though. In BMS, that’s not possible without moving your entire head, so having the option to choose whether you want your default to be the current view (focussed on outside) or the suggested view (focussed on HUD) would be very welcome for many, I think.
No idea what it’s like with other headtracking options, like EDTracker, OpenTrack etc., but what’s funny is that if BMS doesn’t find your TrackIR (not running, paused, or IR leds not in sensor view) and you press 3 for 3D cockpit, you already get the HUD-centered view, with the HUD centered in the middle and MFDs partially visible below. (I’m on a 1440p / FOV 95 though, so I see more than 1080p / FOV 80)
However, if you don’t press 3 after going from 2D to 3D, or as soon as BMS does find TrackIR and you press 3, or you recenter TrackIR, you get the horizon-centered view with the HUD slightly low, and MFDs and even the bottom part of the ICP out of view.HMCS actually shows this centering very well:

I see, maybe thats a compromiss, to be able to save a default view for ourselves.
A problem I have, is, that I always need to zoom out completely after joining 3D, to make the 3D HUD fit my cockpit. Would be nice to save the full zoomed out view as default as well. -
With all those AI improvements of 4.34 flying with them on the wing is great. I’d love to have the possibility to tell the wingman/element to “Anchor here”. Making them orbit at the current altitude around the current position.
What do you guys think? That’d be very useful. I didn’t see this but was thinking it the other day.
-
@Master:
More so than that, i would like to be able to tell other package flights to anchor at a certain place, for instance to allow sead escorts to clear the target area of sam’s before allowing the strikes to proceed, etc
That too.

Rotated about 10 degrees downwards, so the default view has the MFDs visible is a relatively common recurring request.
If you are using a TIR you can offset the view via pitch curves.

I’d really like to see a few key fixes.
- Landing gear wheels not rendering after retrarcted.
- Ground units drive on runway, taxiways. Perhaps use a trigger area for pathfinding logic for the AI or something similar.
- Fix AVTR Lighting Panel, needs indicator light too.
I’d also love to see the following new features
- 16x9 Menu Screens
- Multiple Kneeboards pages with key callbacks to cycle through multiple images for each kneeboard. This will allow Weapon Delivery Planner to upload all of it’s kneeboard pages.
- Block 60 and Block 70 F-16’s
- Simulation of Ground Forces Lasing targets on ground.
- Implementation of Secure Voice knob as configurable in-game private comms channel or Teamspeak Channel that can be set up via configurator utility.
- Implementation of Primary Console Lighting knob and the other unimplemented knobs on the Lighting Panel.
- Implement ECM features in a way that simulates behavior without revealing classified information on the systems.
- Implement KY 58 Panel and related features.
- Implement Anti-Ice Panel and related features.
