F-16 (it’s in DCS, even half-baked I want this aircraft).

I want 120’s I can shoot from the Ramp that will take down all enemy within a 50nm radius… all by themselves. maybe call them 150’s…

Labels? No not at all, that’s not at all the same thing.
Even if the real system is classified, doing what DCS has done is far better than nothing.Same as labels.

AI-controlled gunship like AC-130, could have dedicated code for circling / flypass tactics, with bursts of gunfire tracers pouring at targets.

Does BMS supports multiple hitboxes per object? That would be needed first and iirc it was mentioned in some thread by devs that code is there, 'tho I don’t know if it’s enabled.

So for enchanced damage visuals what would be needed are:- updated 3D models with proper damage lods
- some code to trigger damaged lod, parts breaking off animation,
- code to allow punctured aircraft skin effect
- code to allow spawning broken of parts.
I guess the first point being most time-consuming as models would have to be much more detailed than the ones we have.
Is my guess correct?
That’d be one of those features nice to have, but can live without it.
I think guys who do lots of BMF would really appreciate it. -
@Xeno Visually speaking, we are thinking about it but it is a long way…
The concept of hit boxes is to determine which system would fail depending on zone hit.

Thanks Max, it’s great to hear it is considered. I agree it’s gonna be lots of work both for coders and 3D artists.Considering the fact that this is totally eye candy (as we already have faults and airframe FM damages modeled) I think we might have much higher priorities

'tho visual damage check would be nice. As said, it’s (very) nice to have, not a must for me. -
@molnibalage @Reaperdog1 That theater from Dr.Tomcatz was ahead of its time for BMS. Sadly long time no hear after his “separation”.
It was mostly his own work , his models, textures… and it all worked.
Roads, links, … even trians,… not like some other …
Who knows maybe the time has changed., and btw campaign creation is the easiest part… in all that “kolbas”. What it was 128x128 ? -

Insane amount of polys, no LODs, no hitboxes, insane amount of “Objectives” beyond engine capabilities, … etc … Campaign would have been impossible to run.
We tried to explain the issues to Tom but he didn’t cared at all.

Hhhmmm, one thing that needs to be added, is bugs and birds.
If you fly at all, you know having guts and blood smeared all over your window…especially at low altitudes…happens almost every time.
Would give another consideration for the seasons you are currently flying in, to fly NOE or not, how soon to blow the covers, what to do when things are smeared, lose an engine, etc…

I agree, but even the block 50 is still being updated. I understand that the 50’s will also get the center display and AESA radar etc. So it’s very hard to even get current blocks 100% correct. So maybe indeed you have to draw a line somewhere. I would love to see the center display being added to Falcon cockpits. But I don’t know if enough data is known to do it properly. Because when you add the display, you also need to basically upgrade to AESA equipped Vipers.

Is it possible to have, in the UI, the steerpoints display the compass direction between them, negating the need for the Ruler to get headings?

@Crassus … for now you can see heading and speed for each steerpoint in briefing , so no really need for ruler …
Only you have to switch between breifing and map few times more…Cheers

Ground crew for land bases helping the taxi to dep and taxi to ramp.
Better land grapichs if possible.

New AI commands for help single player strategs ( but the atual stuation is pretty good )
REALY NEED ground trops moviment improvment for campaigns
Comms with simoutaneos AI on mission package, like call help to a escort package or recive more calls from him for a better mission flow
More comms with AWACS. Sometimes i take a DEAD mission for exemp but however, sometimes before my packge reaches the target, it is already destroyed. In fact, on a real battlefield if your aircraft can help at another nearby location, you are sent there. I believe this would be a good improvement for single player missions
Comms with AI on the same aircraft (bplaced) if possible. Simple comms like targeting and searching Ground targets
