Looks fairly straight forward. Now the only interesting part is how nasty enabling the shm might be for ingame fps ;).

Make your own copy and release mutex. Then process your own copy. Then perf isn’t as bad as it used to. memcpy is cheap too. You can also use an extremely short or instant mutex timeout to step on Falcon’s toes less.

Make sure to profile memory usage. Ideally your Java code shouldn’t make memory allocations other than on program startup. I’m not kidding, on Android app that I co-developed it murdered performance by 3x or more.

This is something new. The entire crew hidden in the front, behind thick armor. Of course explosive reactive armour too. APS radar/launchers Smoke grenades… etc…

What is different or better between them?
T-14:

Is bigger A more powerful engine Slightly better barrel, little longer (keep in mind that the Russian ammunition is worse than German or US … (think Leopard or M1A1) The most important change is the end of “flying tower” because ammunition is only in the rear of the turret, even more secure as M1 and Leo …

Tell me please what you want different between them in Falcon?

BTW. I made this model for some theater on the Baltic Sea, just for candy eye.

Dear Eghi and all,

To my very point of view evolution is the key for any developement. T-14 has a place in BMS as in represents the future of Russia’s and allies cavalery assets.

BMS is not made to keep stuck to the 80’s. BMS is made to evolve, and, step by step, it converges to something reasonably close to the reality.

So, yes, to my very own point of view, your T-14 is a great addition, and is totally relevant.

I’m mostly not doing any simming anymore but have some silly hobby sw ideas for gpt Id like to try out.

Mostly I’m interested in knowing how good bms built in texture exporter is nowadays - apparently there should be a built in shared memory for cockpit displays.

Basically if the textures are already exported and the performance is as good as our injected d3d stuff… I’d like to try use that instead - i.e. just have GPT stream from shm directly instead of the d3d hook. Also Id like to remove a lot of junk from gpt. It depends on way too much external crap atm and is a nightmare to maintain (I just today cloned its git repo for the first time in ages and it took me a cpl of hours to figure out how to build).

I’m looking to do some upgrade on my squadron’s web site and one thing that could be awesome is to be able to upload our logbook file on the site and update the data of the pilots with it.
But of course, when I tried to open the lbk file… I have seen that it’s not easily readable. Here is of course my question : Is there a way to read this file (the answer is yes, the website http://www.falconlogs.com/ did it but now it is unavailable) and how to do so ?

I want to precise that only reading this file interests us.

This is what I see when selecting the S-60 for both my current DB and from a fresh install:

After this I clicked ‘Destroyed’ and I see again the same in my DB as from a fresh install:

As showed in the second picture the parent says in the top left “0”.
This I can not change and is not correct compared to your DB!
Its not as simple as just changing that number.

The fact is: I have to little info on how to set this thing up correctly and I don’t want to mess up
my DB.

It is.
It’s still the Same procedure. JanHas Package are having the LOD and textures. Copy the textures into the Korea Object folder- dds files.
After that open the Editor, Switches to the Viper model you will replace and Replace the LOD. You have different LOD Levels which means How many Detail for different Distances .
The first is the nearest so it should have the most Details. The number is the Distance in Feet. Up to this these model is loaded and them the Engine switch to the next lower model and so on.

The JanHas models have a great PDF guide on his website which is clear to me!
I’m struggling with the Package 1 of Hayab containing Kraz vehicles, ZPU2 and S-60.
It is the last one that is the problematic one. The “Destroyed” S-60 model only has 1 LOD shown but in Hayabs folder I have 4 replacements.
I know I can just set the number of LOD’s to 4 in the parent folder, but when trying to replace them it doesn’t work off course…
But Hayab his models don’t include any instructions. And I can figure it out for the ones I only need to simply replace LODs.
But the S-60 Destroyed is a whole other matter.
