East of Benghazi, kinda busy at the gas station šŸ˜‰ Glad to be the first in line with less then 700 left.

Much respect for these Etendard pilots, all the way out as far as Tunisia on a grueling mission. Didn’t expect to see them for this meet and greet.

Hinds fighting and shot down by shoulder launch missile around Zuetina area.

      Cheers Obi1

@Albatroz Nope. I’ve found that even if I back up the original DDS files, then copy them back after changing them with WDP, the problem remains. I’ve also noticed that this happens with any DDS file in 4.37, so it may not be strictly an WDP issue. (For example, copying in a modded cockpit texture just causes the cockpit to disappear.)

Not sure what’s going on. I’ve ruled out quarantine by Windows Security, I think.

I use YAME with 4.36 with the exception of the DED, MFD and RWR, those are displayed by the RTT client and put above those displays from YAME. I have no issues reading the rest of the instruments I have in my setup.

@AMOU-LILYETTO said in JanHas Models & Skin Thread -Compatible with 4.36:

@cougar56th Do I need to change the suffix, bmp becomes dds?
I have another question. The installation instructions say to put an empty texture folder, but the texture I found in the BMS is not empty. Where do I need to create a new texture file?

JanHas helped me get my installation sorted out:

The Textures folder you created should be in the same directory as the Parents and Textures folders.

As for changing the suffix, no. Just put 8266.bmp into the Textures folder. And that should be the only file in that folder.

I believe when you run Build_DB.bat, the Textures and the other folders and files get compressed into:

      KoreaObj.HDR
      KoreaObj.LOD
      KoreaObj.Tex.

These you copy/ paste into Falcon BMS 4.36\Data\TerrData\Objects

      hmmm
One good thing - though killer for programmers could be an advanced log functionality.
Like getting the mission files weather etc the briefing and the debriefing.
Also a functionality like the one I requested from Virtuoz, but it’s going to be payware, sorry Virtuoz you r doing a great job but it’s payware, would be a comparison of briefing - debriefing, and above all save all mission related files in one place or-and naming them using the same name. So you would have the full package in one place and more easily share data. This would also be a great help for squads training programs and keeping score and evaluating pilots.
Like fly this mission give the files and the instructor later on or a third person (evaluator) can check the basics and report a score for the flight, like a pass/fail. Also it could be divided in sections like timing/nav/ altitudes attack profiles etc, if it could keep and a history by naming members and a matrix of performance per squad… like squad1, squad2, and for every squad member1, member2, etc.
This must come with a whole redesign of the ACMI functionality to the standards or above of tacview.
Like a combination and comparison of MC WDP acmi debriefing files and data. This would greatly help for basic training and for maintenance flights for V-Squads and offload their work and reporting - keeping score of each member status - level.

@hoover - sorry for necro , i haven;t use this for some time , now i fired it up again it said (server app) ā€œno network detectedā€ … do it died finally.:)

Do you still use this or i can forget about it … windows and whole tonne of stuff got changed in meantime so it could be anything that causes this - even my setup // i just needed a confirmation , and you were the last here. TY

      Probably NET4 mismatch …

The package is almost done but I have qestions:

How powerful the radar should be on F-20?
      http://www.thecid.com/f20a/f20radar.htm

A part of sources say only the CL has 2000 lb upper weight limit while under wings only 1000 lb is the max, but on some materiel on inner wing HP Mk-84 is possible. What should I set?

Do you wish AIM-7 on middle wing stations?

      ECM pod on CL?

It is a conception to be BVR less with F-16A’s radar with same RWR symbol or different radar with AIM-7.

      Dear 801st TFW members,

It is with much regret that I have to advise our forum - forum.801sttfw.com will be shutting down in the very near future. I have encounterd numerous problems with our hosting service and although the forum software is still running, I am unable to repair a broken database with no possibility of restoring the forum and data.

I have therefore requested that our hosting account is cancelled and the forum will no longer be available.

If you would like to revisit some of the old forum posts, information and downloads, feel free to do so - it may work for you, but a lot of items are missing.

To all of those pilots that joined and flew with us over the years - thank you for the fun times and great memories.

      Rebel (retired)

      Edit: 3/12/22 - the 801st Forum is now off-line.
