Has anyone solved this yet? I am having the same problem. My BMS CH FS&PT_DX.cms file is pretty small it seems…109 bytes. Thanks for any help.

Hi The problem was solved by uninstalling the SST program and driver, then letting Windows 10 reinstall a generic driver. Since then, all buttons are DX-recognized.

@311Blade well, the monitor I use with Helios is a touchscreen, so technically I can touch the controls with my hands. I know, it’s not exactly like clicking a physical button, but the Helios profile is so refined and functional that it offers possibilities I couldn’t achieve with an ICP alone Ciao! -=CyB=-

Ok I have done it. I amazed myself. The new buttons were auto mapped. I unticked AM and simply selected new id for it.

@xellophane oh you may be on to something there The files are ID’d by DirectInput device id, which can sometimes change, on Windows, when moving USB plugs around… different hubs etc. Haven’t heard of this being a problem on wine, but I haven’t tested it myself

@Mauricio-Sipmann Could be. I had heard some versions of Windows only support a single language, but I thought it was limited to WSR, not MSP. Sorry, not much help here. Let me know if you figure anything out.

@Quasi_Stellar Perfect! That makes sense…they revert to the ICP functions once i’m in 3D mode…which is why I can’t see them activate the ICP functions when i’m in the Keymapping area of the launcher. Hadn’t thought to check that! Thanks!

Yes there is a very good alternative, I Fly BMS and DCS with the same hardware from jahelisimulator.com from the Netherlands. The created IO boards to controlt 32 Switch connectors, 8 leds and 4 rotaries. and Led IO to controll 48 LEDS. I created a full pit and I use now 7 IO Boards and 2 led boards. and the cool. all connected to one USB connection. I switch from BMS to DCS very simple. check out www.jahelisimulator.com

I accidentally started BMS last night without my real sim plugged in, and my centre stick (which I had previously bound to BMS) axes just worked without me rebinding. So it might be worth experimenting

@JolK Have had the base for quite some time, but just decided to move it to the right hand side of the sofa and load the DCS F-16 preset. Just made a simple longish BVR mission. Good: It is now a MFSSB stick. It is very hard to over pull the stick to breed off the speed now. Agree it is more precise (better landing, I hope). Not so good: Since the preset is using Telemetry, and BMS is not supported, the base gives nothing more than a MFSSB. There is no feedback when Viper buffers before stalling, or any feedback on landing, gear up/down, afterburner engaged store jettison and weapon firing. Well the Viper is FBW, not much feedback is expected, so it is not that bad of a thing. Be prepared to get into a wrist wrestling, 9NM does not sound much but I have a weak arm and fighting the stick is extra exercise, especially when one day we get it to work…

@foxster I played with FoxVox this afternoon. It would be a bit over the top to run it just for this single button position on my ICP imho , But after installing it (plus EN/US and EN/EN language packs from MS), I have no idea how I could have lived without it in the past. Thx for reminding me again that this thing exists. I ignored the dsitinct thread here in the past. The working Falcon BMS profile / library with “all the bells and whistles” comes in handy…Donation on the way.

I’d actually prefer mouse wheel zoom, but it doesn’t work for me. Guess you have to disable wheel control for operating ritaries in the cockpit. Should also be a value in the falconbms.cfg.

@Snail it’s mentioned in Falcon BMS technical manual. As there are the other possibilities explained as well. I ers9nally use Helios as it offers way more than RTT and can be used with touch devices

@Hong-Yeon-Kim it’s meant to represent the numbered menu items on the radio menus I’m not actually sure those do anything… they may be just placeholders in the key file [edit: there does appear to be code behind them … haven’t tested any of them … but as you can see in the default key files, they’re not mapped to any keys by default – when you interact with the menus, that input is taking a different path]

@oakdesign that’s relatively recent … sometime in the past year, I refactored the launcher to write changes to xml/key files as you make them … mainly to avoid edge cases where crashes or other unintentional exits, resulted in unsaved work. but also to help this .joy scenario

@airtex2019 sure so if handling with BMS acceleration and multiple presses is not sufficient the press and hold to send repeated inputs can be achieved with JG. So at least 2 ways user can choose from
