@JolK Have had the base for quite some time, but just decided to move it to the right hand side of the sofa and load the DCS F-16 preset. Just made a simple longish BVR mission.
Good:
It is now a MFSSB stick.
It is very hard to over pull the stick to breed off the speed now.
Agree it is more precise (better landing, I hope).
Not so good:
Since the preset is using Telemetry, and BMS is not supported, the base gives nothing more than a MFSSB. There is no feedback when Viper buffers before stalling, or any feedback on landing, gear up/down, afterburner engaged store jettison and weapon firing. Well the Viper is FBW, not much feedback is expected, so it is not that bad of a thing.
Be prepared to get into a wrist wrestling, 9NM does not sound much but I have a weak arm and fighting the stick is extra exercise, especially when one day we get it to work…
